Environmental Packaging

Digi-Key uses Geämi, a 100% recyclable packaging product. Please carefully look through the packaging material for product before placing both the outer and the inner tissue into your newspaper bin for recycling.

Geämi has been awarded Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) third party Chain of Custody Certification of the process for tracking and recording the possession and transfer of wood fiber from the forests of origin through the different stages of production to the end user.

All of the Kraft and white paper products that ship from the Morrisville, NC production facility have the SFI Fiber Sourcing label and chain of custody certification number on each roll label. The invoices and packing slips contain the SFI Fiber Sourcing statement and logo. This certification ensures that the raw materials used to make Geämi packaging paper are obtained from mills that only source wood fibers from 100% sustainably managed forests.
