Apple and Samsung - isn't this just getting ridiculous now?

So Apple paid a $95.6m bond to make effective a court-ordered ban on the sales of Samsung's popular smartphone, the Galaxy Nexus, within U.S. borders.

What do you think - is this a wise investment? Personally, I think it's just a waste of money, and that Samsung will eventually get this ban overturned.

Comparing Facebook and LinkedIn IPO

Raise your hand if you’re glad you didn’t buy into the Facebook IPO hype a few weeks back . . . (raising MY hand!)

Came across some interesting news today: Facebook’s opening IPO price was $38; presently, it’s priced at $29. That’s a 24% decrease in about three weeks’ time.

In comparison, LinkedIn – the professional’s version of Facebook – launched a day prior to Facebook, opening with a price of $45, and right now is listed at $100, a 137% increase over this time.

Experts suggest that LinkedIn’s success has to do with the fact that they have better performing ads (thus a way to generate revenue), sound subscription numbers, and a tested / proven management team in place.

What does everyone else think? Are there any other reasons why LinkedIn is doing so much better than Facebook on the stock market?

Samsung Galaxy S3 vs. iPhone 4S

Samsung unveiled its latest phone, the Galaxy S3, yesterday at a news conference. Among the more noteworthy highlights, the phone will feature a 1.4GHz quad-core chip, 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 1280 x 720 resolution, and run on the Ice Cream Sandwich, Android's latest-and-greatest mobile os.

Some of the interesting features it will have includes SmartStay (uses eye tracking to prevent the phone’s screen from dimming while you’re looking at it), S Voice (Samsung’s “Siri”, performs voice commands), and Dropbox will provide S III users 50gb worth of free space.

We all pretty much already know what the iPhone 4S has to offer, so my question for you is: if you could pick only one phone to use for the next two years, which one would you choose?

To get things going, I’ll put it out there and say that I’m more inclined to go with the S3.

NASA will fly its Enterprise shuttle over NYC landmarks tomorrow - April 27th.
