ZERUST® Family of Containers and Dividers

Flambeau’s ZERUST is a patented and licensed polymer-based material that can be molded into plastic. It releases an invisible, odorless, non-toxic, non-flammable, and non-reactive proprietary corrosion-inhibiting vapor that protects metal components for up to five years.

Inside a closed container made from ZERUST materials, this vapor will settle on all exposed metal surfaces and form a protective layer only a few molecules thick. This molecular layer inhibits the electrochemical reactions at the surface of the metal that cause corrosion.

ZERUST does not affect the electrical, mechanical properties, or functionality of the metal components they protect. Instead it helps improve their reliability by preventing corrosion damage too small to be seen by the naked eye.

ZERUST is molded into Tuff-Tainer boxes and dividers with portable corrosion protection available in the FDA-approved ZERUST Capsules and Plastabs.
