JO22/JO32 Series 32.768 kHz Oscillators

Jauch‘s JO22 and JO32 series 32.768 kHz oscillators are developed especially for accurate time measurement in laptops, smartphones, metering, and many other electronic devices. In contrast to tuning fork-based oscillators, these components use an AT-cut quartz blank and thus feature significant frequency stability.

Like the JO22 and JO32 oscillators for the MHz range, these components for 32.768 kHz operate with a variable supply voltage between 1.8 V and 3.3 V. Within this range, variations in the operating voltage have no negative effect on frequency stability. For battery-operated devices, the oscillator remains functional for a long duration as the battery voltage drops lower.

The JO22 and JO32 oscillators have an LVCMOS-compatible output signal that is suitable for operating standard logic circuits. Both oscillators are available in the industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.

Due to their very small size, the JO32 (3225) and in particular the JO22 (2520) packages, are suitable for applications in which a compact integration is a priority for the engineer due to the high degree of miniaturization in today’s circuits. The JO22 and JO32 are particularly suitable for extremely small electronic devices with very limited space on printed circuit boards and suit many IoT and wearable type applications.

The oscillators are 100% lead-free and RoHS- and REACH-compliant. Both components comply with conflict minerals regulations.
