QPL1825 Wideband Ultra-Linear RF Amplifier

The Qorvo QPL1825 is a wideband, ultra-linear RF amplifier designed for 75 Ω CATV signal chains operating from 50 MHz to 1.8 GHz. It is implemented using a GaAs pHEMT differential cascode architecture, enabling high gain with low distortion across the full operating bandwidth. The device is intended for modern broadband access systems where linearity and composite performance are primary design constraints.

Operating from a single 5 V to 8 V supply, the QPL1825 allows bias current to be set between approximately 260 mA and 350 mA, giving system designers flexibility to trade off power consumption versus output capability. At 26 dB nominal gain, the amplifier supports high total composite power while maintaining strong carrier-to-noise and distortion performance suitable for dense multi-carrier DOCSIS environments.

The device is packaged in a 5 mm × 5 mm, 12-pin laminate module, optimized for surface-mount assembly and controlled impedance RF layouts. Its differential architecture and integrated matching simplify board-level design while supporting consistent performance across temperature and frequency.
