A perfect op amp will only amplify the difference between the input terminals. In this diagram, the op amp should ignore the sine wave inputs because they have the same amplitude and polarity. However, some portion of the signal will be seen on the output. CMRR is a measure of how well the amplifier can reject signals that appear on both inputs.
