The 282 and 284 Series have many possible applications. Wherever a traditional potentiometer has been used, the 282 and 284 Series can also be used to provide additional protection from the environment, achieve a much longer life, and also achieve a wider operating temperature range. Some of the possible applications for the 282 and 284 are: HVAC valve position sensors, lighting controls, industrial joysticks, industrial kitchen controls, motor speed controls, valve and pump controls, utility equipment, medical equipment, and marine equipment.
