In autonomous driving systems, CTS’ PLL module is used both as a frequency translator and as a jitter attenuator. It provides a clean signal to each radar front-end sensor located around the body of the vehicle. Ultimately, these detection sensors allow the computer in the car to map the area around the vehicle and navigate through traffic and surrounding terrain.
