This module will provide a brief but informative overview on how to use the Capacitive Touch library to program the Capacitive Touch Booster Pack for the MSP430 LaunchPad. The objectives of this course are to understand both the hardware and software components of a capacitive touch solution. The software portion provides an description of the library architecture and examples using API calls from the library. The hardware portion includes a basic explanation of capacitance and how this capacitance is ‘sensed’ or measured with the MSP430. The hardware platform is the TI Capacitive Touch Booster Pack for the MSP430 LaunchPad, and the MSP430 LaunchPad with the MSP430G2452 microcontroller.
