New Product Discoveries - u-blox NINA-B4

This special edition of the New Product Discoveries series covers the NINA-B4 Bluetooth Module and Development Kit from u-blox. The Senior Director, Head Product Center Short Range Radio at u-blox, Herbert Blaser, visited DigiKey HQ to show us these awesome products.

The NINA-B4 series are stand-alone Bluetooth 5.1 low energy modules created for harsh professional environments. Some key features include:

• nRF52833 IC
• Thread/Zigbee, NFC, Bluetooth low energy
• Global certification
• Interfaces include: UART, USB, SPI, TWI (I2C compatible), I2S, GPIO, ADC, and PWM
• Temperature range: -40°C to 105°C
• Pin compatible with other NINA modules

To make implementation even easier, u-blox also created evaluation kits for the NINA-B4 modules that are pin compatible with Arduino Uno shields.

• Use either u-blox connectivity software or an open CPU with SDK
• Power through USB, external supply, or coin cell
• Onboard debugger hardware and firmware
