  • Enhanced performance, and memory: The MCX E31 features an Arm® Cortex®-M7 core running at up to 160 MHz, a significant upgrade that allows for more complex and demanding applications. It comes with expanded memory, offering up to 4 MB of Flash and 512 kB of SRAM for greater processing and data storage
  • Built-in functional safety: With a fail-safe architecture, the MCX E31 is built to simplify the development of safety-critical systems. It targets certification to IEC 61508 SIL 2 (with support for systems up to SIL 3) and includes advanced safety features like program flow monitoring and clock/power supervision. The integrated ECC on all Flash and SRAM ensures complete data integrity
  • Robust industrial design: The MCU supports both 3 V and 5 V power supplies, making it highly resilient to electrical noise and compatible with a wide range of industrial sensors. It is qualified for 24/7 operation over a 10-year lifetime and can withstand temperatures up to +135°C
  • Advanced connectivity: The MCX E31 offers versatile connectivity options, including CAN FD, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet with TSN, and low-power serial communication, enabling seamless integration into diverse industrial networks
  • Secure by design: The integrated EdgeLock® Secure Enclave provides high-level cybersecurity features, including secure boot, secure debug access, and support for both symmetric and asymmetric ciphers. This helps protect against evolving threats and enables secure remote services, reducing the total cost of ownership
  • Motor control and power management: A dedicated subsystem efficiently drives consumer and industrial motors with low power consumption. This simplifies motor control applications and power management, further supported by the MCUXpresso SDK
