STPM801 Automotive Hot-Swap Diode Controller
STMicroelectronics' controller protects loads from high-voltage transients and OV and UV conditions
STMicroelectronics' STPM801 protects loads from high voltage transients, limiting and regulating the output during an overvoltage (OV) event, such as load dump, by controlling the voltage drop across an external N-channel MOSFET. An integrated ideal diode controller drives a second MOSFET (the OR-ing) to replace a Schottky diode for reverse input protection and output voltage holdup.
- Wide input voltage range: 4 V to 65 V
- Reverse input protection: -65 V
