WE-CST Series Current-Sense Transformers
Würth's transformers are suitable for a broad range of high-frequency applications with currents up to 20 A
Würth Elektronik's WE-CST current-sense transformers Type EE5 series are compact (7.7 mm x 6.9 mm x 5.33 mm), offer a current rating of 20 A, and are halogen-free. The tiny current sense transformers are ideally suited for high-frequency current sensing applications in which small component size and isolation are vital. The transformers can provide insulation with a rated withstand voltage up to 500 VAC. The WE-CST Type EE5 series is available in eight different turns ratios from 1:20 to 1:125. The volt-time product typical sensing frequencies range from 20 kHz to 1 MHz, or lower as long as one doesn’t exceed the volt-time product ratings.
