Welcome to the Allegro ACS710 Introduction product training module. The ACS710 provides a 120kHz bandwidth, linear output voltage that is proportional to the current flowing in a low resistance, galvanically isolated primary conductor. The primary conductor is integrated into the ACS710’s standard, wide body SOIC16 package. This presentation will begin with a brief explanation of the Hall effect and then discuss the patented packaging technology that is tantamount to the success of Allegro’s line of integrated current sensor products. At the end of this presentation, the features and benefits of the ACS710 will be reviewed and compared to the major attributes of conventional current sensing solutions.
