So HyperFlash supports 333 MBps read bandwidth over 4 times as fast as the DDR QUAD SPI; nearly 3.5 times as fast as page mode parallel. Then if the pin counts available are looked at, HyperFlash only requires 12 pins total for data transfer, compared to 6 for Quad SPI and over 40 for page parallel. So if the highest read bandwidth is combined with one of the lowest pin counts available, the result is the ability to enable the highest performance embedded systems.
