The chart on this slide compares common chip resistor technologies. Thin film chip resistors are known to demonstrate better absolute tolerance and temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) than thick film resistors. Although the standard RG series resistors mostly overlap with typical thin film chip resistors, the high precision type RG series, the RGLL and RGVP, are completely outside of the typical thin film performance range. The RGLL with its tolerance of ±0.01% and TCR ±2 ppm is a high precision thin film chip resistor.
