It became obvious that the pattern design had the most impact on sound quality. Pattern width should be the same as much as possible to make current density even throughout the resistive element. It is better to avoid sharp corners or rectangular patterns, which can cause reflections. Shorter pattern length is also a plus for avoiding stray inductance. Finally, the entire structure must be designed to avoid any polarity.
