Because of the thin film advantages mentioned on previous slides, thin film resistors have been used in high end audio where sound quality is critical. For example, the digital analog converter (DAC) circuit is one place where thin film resistors have been used. However, thin film resistors have not been incorporated much in personal music devices until 2016.
