EPIC-25 Iguana SBC Slide 3

Like all of VersaLogic’s rugged x86 compatible embedded computers, the Iguana is designed, manufactured, and tested to be reliable in critical and demanding environments. These environments include extreme temperatures, high shock, excessive vibration, and high humidity. It has gone through: a strict component selection and evaluation process, worst-case stress testing, state-of-the-art compliance and validation testing of all high-speed signals, verification of the external interfaces, and extensive power and four-corner thermal testing. All VersaLogic products have been through the most stringent validation testing before they take on a customer’s application. The Iguana is powered by a 2nd generation Intel ATOM processor. Formerly known as Luna Pier, this processor is performance optimized for lower power consumption and compatibility with the broadest range of x86 applications and development tools to ensure reduced system cost and development time. There are two different CPU options designed to fit most programs price and performance goals. They include single-core and dual-core processors. All the processor models are equipped with Intel’s advanced performance capabilities including Hyper-Threading and Intel 64 architecture. The Iguana supports an SO-DIMM memory socket that allows up to four Gigabytes of total memory. This memory space helps to support applications such as data mining, data buffering, and data logging.
