Machine Interface Encoders

Coaxial RF switch connectors are most effectively used as signal test points to validate operating frequencies within a circuit. Specifically, the surface-mount RF switch connector is placed in series with critical signal paths such as the antenna, with the switch remaining in a closed position until a test probe is engaged. Once engaged, the switch opens and the RF signal is redirected to the appropriate piece of test equipment. When the test probe is removed, the switch closes and the signal is directed back to its proper destination in the circuit. Placement of the RF switch connector prior to the antenna allows confirmation that the device under test (DUT) is operating within its designated parameters.
