A typical IPD product request starts by providing a well-defined specification or a thorough system level analysis to describe the application. Then, ST’s designers provide a feasibility study with detailed simulations of the part. Based on customer feedback on the simulations and die-size estimates, ST can have samples ready within less than six weeks. This is followed by validation and qualification for becoming production-ready. ST also has the option of using a Multi-Product Wafer for those designers who need to be able to tune RF performance.
