Traditional wirewound resistors offer a level of pulse resistance but are often plagued by inductance and lower overall reliability, which can hinder their performance in critical applications. Alternatively, ceramic and carbon composition resistors exhibit excellent pulse resistance and non-inductive properties but come with their own limitations, including high cost, poor moisture resistance, and instability in resistance values over time.

The APLR series was developed to transcend these limitations. By leveraging proprietary resistive elements from RESI, these high-energy resistors blend the best attributes of various resistor types. A comparative analysis shows the APLR series excels in anti-pulse ability, reliability, non-inductive design, moisture resistance, long-term stability, and cost-effectiveness. These resistors maintain their precision and performance even in extreme conditions, as evidenced by their successful completion of rigorous reliability tests.

One key highlight of the APLR series is its remarkable ability to withstand a single pulse energy of 1000 J within the compact dimensions of Φ8.5 mm x 52 mm. This feat underscores the efficiency and advanced engineering behind these resistors. Furthermore, reliability tests covering a range of parameters, including operating temperature, standard TCR, short-term overload, load life, thermal shock, moisture resistance, and high-temperature storage, all featured results well within acceptable limits, ensuring the resistors' performance and durability.

To demonstrate the real-world applicability, RESI has conducted extensive long-term laboratory testing using samples with resistance values of 50 Ω, 100 Ω, 150 Ω, and 200 Ω. These tests involved subjecting the resistors to 10,000 pulse cycles each, wherein the resistance shift was found to remain within 1% without any visible damage. Further tests with higher resistance values of 3.3 kΩ and 4.7 kΩ, under conditions of 50,000 pulse cycles, also showed extraordinary stability, with resistance shifts remaining within 0.2%.

The APLR series currently offers sizes of Φ8.5 mm x 52 mm and a broad resistance range of 20 Ω to 10 kΩ, with tolerance ranges from 5% to 10%. RESI is also capable of customizing other sizes to meet diverse application needs.
