ST RF synthesizers are produced by the DMA division, the Digital and Mixed Signal ASIC division, from which ST has been providing solutions for RF infrastructure and high-frequency RF solutions for about 12 years. These products are primarily fabricated in BiCMOS, silicon-germanium, processes and have been widely adopted on base stations and wireless infrastructure. ST also offers RFCMOS and H9 CMOS SOI processes from this product group, and can support customers with COT and ASIC custom developments. This presentation focuses on the RF synthesizers, which are part of ST’s RF standard products which are in volume production. The newest synthesizer in full production is the STW81200, which is a Fractional-N synthesizer. An older family of Integer-N synthesizers is also offered, the STW81101, 81102, and 81103 synthesizers, as well as a family of RF down converters, the STW8210xB devices. STMicroelectronics offers a wide variety of products, initially targeted at the communications market, but with the release of the STW81200 and the STuW81300, able to address a much broader market.
